Job Description What You’ll Be Doing_ Leading delivery and driving outcomes: Own the key rituals of your team’s delivery lifecycle, from sprint planning and stand-ups to retrospectives and releases. You’ll shape these ceremonies to fit your team and grow others to lead them over time. Collaborate with Product Managers to shape backlogs, estimate work, and align on delivery timelines and expectations. Work cross-functionally with other Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Program Managers to align delivery efforts and technical decisions across teams. Champion operational excellence, ensuring reliability, uptime, and responsiveness of your team’s systems. Supporting and developing your team: Coach and empower your engineers, helping them grow through 1:1s, feedback, and development planning. Foster an inclusive, supportive team culture where people feel safe, trusted, and motivated to do their best work. Manage holidays, expenses, and team budgets, but more importantly, be present and available for your people. Lead local hiring efforts and contribute to building a world-class team culture from the ground up. Representing your team: Share progress in engineering-wide reviews and collaborate in multi-team planning sessions. Provide visibility into delivery status and operational metrics. Participate in cross-functional rituals and advocate for your team’s needs and contributions. What We’re Looking For_ // We don’t expect everyone to tick every box, but here’s what success might look like in this role: Strong English communication skills, you’ll work with teams across multiple time zones. A background as a senior or lead software engineer, with backend experience, ideally in Java and/or Kotlin. Experience working on SaaS products, especially in fast-moving product companies. Proven leadership of engineering teams (10+ people) in an Agile environment. Comfort with end-to-end delivery responsibility, from planning to execution to operations.
