The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability, and automation. Your Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c) across development, test, and production environments. - Manage database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard. - Monitor database performance and tune queries, indexes, and system parameters for optimal throughput and efficiency. - Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including RAC, ASM, and replication. - Automate routine database tasks through scripting (Shell, Python, or PL/SQL) and enterprise tools. - Ensure database security, role-based access controls, and compliance with data protection standards. - Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and DevOps teams to support integrated solutions. - Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for database architecture, configurations, and standard procedures. Your Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator/Engineer in complex environments. - Proficiency in Oracle database architecture, administration, backup/recovery, and performance tuning. - Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and partitioning strategies. - Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL for database development and optimization. - Experience with Linux/Unix systems and scripting for task automation. - Familiarity with database monitoring and management tools (OEM, AWR, ADDM, etc.). Nice to Have: - Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional - OCP). - Experience with cloud-hosted Oracle solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS for Oracle). - Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate or other data replication tools. - Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines involving database deployments. - Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) in database environments.
