Overview Pharmacist in Charge- Maury Regional Pharmacy at Plaza Pharmacy Maxor National Pharmacy Services has an exciting full-time opening for an experienced, customer-focused Pharmacist in Charge. Maury Regional Pharmacy at Plaza Pharmacy is located in Columbia, TN, managed by Maxor National Pharmacy Services, LLC. Responsibilities Essential Functions 1. Ensure pharmacy provides optimal service, complies with legal, accreditation, and policy standards. 2. Supervise pharmacists and technicians to maintain daily operations. 3. Ensure adequate staffing during all hours. 4. Schedule staff for routine, weekend, holiday, and on-call hours. 5. Provide training for pharmacy staff. 6. Review and update drug-therapy guidelines and policies. 7. Provide drug information and conduct in-service programs for healthcare professionals. 8. Maintain records and prepare reports as required. 9. Stay current with drug therapies through literature, seminars, and professional affiliations. 10. Maintain patient medication records and monitor drug therapy. 11. Provide patient counseling and interpret drug orders. 12. Compound, prepare IV admixtures (if applicable), and dispense prescriptions. 13. Participate in inventory management and control programs. 14. Address unsafe practices and participate in department meetings and committees. 15. Communicate with physicians regarding prescriptions. 16. Maintain controlled substances records as required by law. 17. Ensure excellent customer service and handle complaints. 18. Collaborate with staff to promote teamwork. 19. Participate in Performance Improvement programs. 20. Report any misconduct or improprieties promptly. 21. Comply with ethical and compliance policies, including exclusion lists. 22. Complete training and ensure staff training is up to date. 23. Manage staff hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluations. 24. Develop staff through coaching and mentorship. 25. Verify departmental timesheets biweekly. 26. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy; PharmD preferred. Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state. Experience: Minimum three years pharmacy experience; managerial experience preferred.
