**Responsibilities**: **Role Summary**Responsibilities** - Drive quality engineering efforts within an agile team and oversee bug tracking, test prioritization, test automation, and release - Influence design by reviewing the requirements, behaviour specifications, and design documents to begin test development early and uncover risks prior to implementation - Recommend improvements into overall best practices, design, testability and quality, tools, and productivity - Track test gaps, quality, and productivity metrics, and work with other engineering teams to improve gaps from this data - Provide timely and accurate QA status and progress throughout agile projects, and summarizing QA results at project conclusion - Conduct regular 1:1s, motivate and retain individuals, develop skills of team members, participate in performance reviews, hire and train new talent to continue growing the organization **Qualifications** - BSc in Computer Science or equivalent education - 5+ years of experience in quality engineering in an agile environment - 3+ years experience in a manager role or leading a team with direct reports - Knowledge and experience with various web stack related languages (e.g. PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL) - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - Proven track record of building and scaling high performing teams, committed to being a role model for peers and direct reports, often leading by example - Thrives working in a fast-paced continuous delivery environment, self-motivated, detailed-oriented, and passionate about building world-class software **Perks & Benefits** - Flexibility to work onsite or 100% remotely - 4 weeks of paid vacation per year - 100% employer-paid premiums for health, dental and vision benefits - Annual wellness allowance, education allowance, and charitable donation matching - Macbook and home office setup support - Fun team building activities, events, and social hour Fridays About Pixieset - Our vision is to become the household name for photographers.
