WHO WE ARE We are looking for dedicated technicians who are enthusiastic about preserving our planet through clean, renewable wind energy. As a Vestas technician, you'll apply your electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical experience to ensure safety and quality in your work. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICIAN In this intermediate-level position, you'll perform maintenance and/or installation work on wind turbines with minimal supervision, following defined schedules, procedures, and safety protocols. You may also mentor entry-level technicians. Your daily tasks could involve working at heights of 250 feet, in confined spaces, or adverse weather conditions. You will be climbing, carrying tools and equipment, and moving parts to complete your work. Teamwork, professionalism, safety, and attention to detail are core values here, and we welcome suggestions to improve safety and quality. MORE ABOUT YOU You have a High School Diploma or equivalent. You have at least 1 year of technical wind industry experience, or six months with a wind technician certification, or three years of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, or heavy machinery experience. You can climb stairs and ladders carrying up to 50 lbs. You are experienced with intermediate power tools such as hydraulic tools, torque wrenches, and diagnostic devices. You hold a valid driver's license. You possess basic computer skills, are familiar with internet-based programs, and can interpret data. You can read and understand technical drawings and schematics, following safety protocols like confined space entry and energy isolation. You communicate effectively with customers and collaborate well with colleagues.
