Held is seeking a highly-motivated Building Consultant with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and superior work product to clientele for our Building Consulting Practice Group in our Medellin, Colombia office. You will be responsible for communicating with clients and any stakeholders related to the claim process, detailed take-off of property condition, estimating, analyzing and reporting for complex projects. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of construction budgeting, mitigation and restoration, scheduling, field construction or equivalent experience in the construction field. The candidate should be eager to understand the methodology for negotiating and settling insurance claims efficiently and be willing to develop their analytical and report-writing skills to contribute to expert reports. Job Responsibilities: - Assisting in client communication and maintaining positive relationships with project representatives. - Perform field inspections and necessary site visits. - Assisting in estimating small to large projects, with a willingness to learn and develop proficiency in using tools like Xactimate and RSMeans. - Motivated to develop in-depth knowledge of water restoration and structural drying, with the goal of delivering expert-level consulting services. - Document review and analysis of schedules, contracts, change orders, correspondence, daily reports, meeting minutes, monthly reports, and any additional documents relating to a project. - Excellent communication skills to ensure deadlines and cost targets are met. Ideal candidates exhibit the following attributes and background: - Civil Engineering bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or industry level experience. - 3 to 5 years minimum construction budgeting, restoration, field construction, scheduling, and some project management experience. - Bilingual, with strong written and spoken English proficiency - Proficient in Xactimate or RS Means estimating is highly desirable. - Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Visual Basic, JavaScript, C#) and data analysis will be considered a plus. - Experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM technologies is highly desirable. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Requisitos - Civil Engineering degree, credentials, or certifications. - Willingness to travel overnight, out-of-state, or abroad - Capability to travel between Colombia and the United States. - Strong project management skills. - Strong analysis and critical thinking skills. - Deadline and detail-oriented. - Strong independent work ethic and leadership qualities.
