Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for: Position Title: Senior Full Stack PHP Developer Location: Hybrid - Medellin What you will be doing: This role requires proficiency in Object Oriented PHP frameworks, including Laravel or Symfony, along with significant experience in front-end technologies such as Vue.js or React. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, your contributions will directly impact project architecture, enhance security, and ensure scalability. You will work collaboratively with a multinational team, while managing the deployment of code using Docker and GitHub Actions. Additionally, your responsibilities include the oversight of cloud infrastructure on AWS services such as SQS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, and RDS Aurora. This position offers a dynamic work environment, blending office and remote work, and challenges you to innovate continuously while mentoring others and contributing to high-traffic system enhancements. Lead the design and estimation of technical architecture and development for new projects using PHP frameworks like Laravel or Symfony. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure all code is secure, maintainable, and scalable across back-end and front-end development. Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications and components utilizing modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or React. Collaborate on a legacy application with limited technical documentation, proactively formulating the right questions and engaging with subject matter experts, gathering critical information and ensuring successful development and maintenance. Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies to improve project delivery and team efficiency, including working with continuous integration and deployment processes using GitHub Actions. Oversee cloud infrastructure management and deployment on platforms such as AWS (SQS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, RDS Aurora), ensuring optimal performance and security. Utilize advanced knowledge of SQL and intermediate proficiency in MongoDB for database management and optimization. Implement deployment techniques using Docker to ensure efficient service delivery. Participate in an on-call rotation with 8-hour shifts, where immediate availability within 10 minutes is expected if activated. Actual activations are infrequent, and being on-call does not require staying at the computer. Required Skills & Experience: Advanced proficiency in Object Oriented PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel or Symfony. Strong command of SQL. Proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as Vue.js or React. Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB. 8+ years of experience in full stack development or an equivalent role. Proven expertise in AWS services like SQS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, and RDS Aurora. Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines. Ability to manage and deploy applications using Docker. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving capability. Track record of delivering high-quality and complex software. Fluency in English is required. Ability to work on high traffic systems. Nice to Haves: Experience working with MariaDB. Experience working in an Agile Scrum team. Exposure to DevOps cultures and practices. Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation. Certification in Docker or Kubernetes management.
