Position Summary: This is a post-sale technical staff position where responsibilities and requirements primarily occur after the sale of the organization’s product to the client. The role involves providing post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of company products. It may involve implementing detailed customer installation requirements and/or customization, ensuring that client’s needs are met and that the product/solution functions according to specifications. The position may also include providing follow-up support to sales staff and customers by disseminating technical information on specific applications. Responsibilities may change based on business needs. Scope of Responsibilities: Provide remote second-level field applications support to customers and channel partners across the LATAM EM region. Experience with library preparation or NGS is desirable. Document customer and channel partner interactions in SFDC and respond to inquiries via email. Develop, write, and edit technical documentation and training materials for internal and external customers, including webinars, seminars, and courses. Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency with Illumina’s products. Assist the commercial team during sales calls with technical and application support in response to customer inquiries. Apply basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve routine issues. Follow guidelines to determine courses of action. Work on assignments of limited scope, following standard practices and procedures. Develop internal working relationships and exchange standard information with colleagues and supervisors. Work under guided leadership with general instructions on new work or assignments. Communicate effectively through written and verbal means, including training. Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions. Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree with some experience in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, library preparation, NGS, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams. Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
