Purpose Responsible for providing a consistent and timely approach for Workforce Security Screening (WSS) review and adjudication activities, including screening administration, responding to inquiries, and reporting. This role also supports program and process escalations, interacts with the screening vendor, and collaborates with other key stakeholders as required. Accountabilities 1. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. 2. Initiate ongoing screening for active workers as required. 3. Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the workforce security screening process. 4. Assess and interpret the complexity of WSS files requiring adjudication (Tier I, II, and III), and escalate as needed. 5. Conduct Tier I reviews to identify discrepancies and errors, and adjudicate FTE and contingent workers as required. 6. Monitor, track, and report on WSS activities and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 7. Train new team members on processes and procedures, and continuously improve training materials. 8. Ensure proper use of knowledge and case management tools to respond to, document, and monitor activities. 9. Communicate start dates as required. 10. Prepare rescind offer correspondence and track candidate status in SuccessFactors. 11. Connect with candidates for supporting documentation as needed. 12. Act as subject matter expert on WSS and Work Permit activities, supporting program updates in meetings with stakeholders. 13. Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and customer service, and recommend solutions to the Senior Manager, Hiring & Onboarding. 14. Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions. 15. Ensure effective operations and adherence to controls related to operational, regulatory, AML/ATF, and conduct risks, following relevant frameworks and guidelines. 16. Promote a high-performance environment and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent. Dimensions - Conduct Tier I adjudication for WSS activities. - Support employees with Work Permits. - Handle a significant volume of transactions. - Respond within established SLAs. - Maintain business continuity, ensuring coverage 5 days/week as scheduled. Education / Experience / Other Information - Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. - CHRP designation (or pursuing) is an asset. - Knowledge of HR transactions. - Risk management mindset. - Deep understanding of Bank policies and procedures. - Strong communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills. - Judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. - Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables. - Attention to detail and deadlines. - Proven teamwork skills. - Flexibility and adaptability. - Ability to maintain confidentiality.
