The Role Overview The Art Director plays a crucial role in upholding our client's brand integrity and overall creative strategy. Your main focus will be ensuring that all design projects meet our client's unique brand standards and our high creative benchmarks. While you won't generate new content, you'll need a keen understanding of design principles and the ability to adapt brand guidelines for various regional and local applications. Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST/PST Scope of Work: - Collaboration: Engages daily with Production Coordinators, Creatives, and Quality Specialists - Client Communication: Engage directly with Design Pickle's Clients to comprehend their unique requests, set appropriate delivery expectations, and provide individualized and exceptional graphic designs. - Collaborative Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with designers, Production Coordinators, Quality Specialists, and other applicable teams to ensure design quality aligns with brand guidelines and client expectations. Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback to designers throughout the creative process. - Brand Asset Oversight: Evaluate, organize, and maintain branding assets (logos, templates, visual references, etc.) while identifying client preferences to ensure consistent use across all deliverables. Document key brand elements, design preferences, and reference materials to support clear communication, seamless collaboration, and long-term creative alignment. Regularly update brand assets to ensure files are up-to-date, aligned with client expectations, and accessible to all relevant team members. - Creative Support Materials: Develop moodboards, visual frameworks, and editable templates to guide the creative process and help align the team with the client’s brand identity across all relevant platforms including social media, websites, and digital channels. - Skill Enhancement: Stay updated with the latest design software and techniques to ensure the highest quality output. - Additional service requirements as needed by the client. Ideal Profile - Present an up-to-date portfolio demonstrating comprehensive experience in branding projects, from ideation and logo design to their implementation across various formats, with a strong focus on graphic design. - Robust conceptual, graphic design, type, and page layout skills for projects ranging from print to interactive to broadcast. - Exceptional eye for detail and a deep understanding of the technical aspects of branding. - Excellent English communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain brand guidelines and their reasons. - Practical understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat. - Practical understanding of Canva, Figma, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google Slides. - Proficient in organizing and comprehending project requirements, even when they may not be well-defined. - Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work. - Decision-making, negotiation, and forward-thinking skills.
