Job Title: Specialist, Workplace Health & Safety Job Description: The WHS specialist is responsible for developing all safety operations related to fire, emergency, safety, and environmental programs. They ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and policies. Additionally, they promote safety culture through awareness campaigns. Main Responsibilities: Analyze data to assess its quality, validity, and significance. Communicate safety procedures to the organization or public. Provide technical guidance on safety issues. Organize workshops, conferences, and training on environmental management and safety. Prepare charts, graphs, and presentations to convey environmental information. Research pollution sources and assess their environmental impact. Desired Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service skills. At least 2 years of experience in occupational health, preferably in companies with 400+ employees or BPOs. Proven experience with occupational health processes, risk management, and safety system implementation. Bachelor's degree or higher is required. Membership in a professional association (e.g., Colegio profesional). Intermediate to advanced English skills. Ability to apply scientific methods to problem-solving. Expertise in safety system analysis. Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively. Knowledge of chemical properties and compositions. Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
