We are looking for a Global Compensation and Organizational Design Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our compensation and organizational design practices. This role blends policy development , compensation management , and consultative support to ensure that our people’s programs align with global standards, legal requirements, and business goals. You will work closely with people leaders, business managers, and key stakeholders across the organization, offering advice on compensation matters and supporting the effective execution of global compensation policies and procedures. You will also train and empower teams to understand and implement the best practices in compensation. What’s Unique About This Job (What You’ll Do) Compensation Program Execution: Manage key compensation functions such as benchmarking, salary reviews, job evaluations, and pay structure maintenance. Support the annual and quarterly compensation cycles by preparing data reports, coordinating approvals, and ensuring timely and accurate execution. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and refine compensation & people-related policies and guidelines that align with global standards and local compliance needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, legal, and finance to ensure policies are embedded into everyday processes and are consistently applied. Support the development and maintenance of the job architecture framework through job evaluations, standardized job descriptions, and consistent job leveling, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and internal equity. Consultative Support: Act as a trusted advisor to People Business Partners and business leaders by providing clear and data-driven recommendations on compensation strategies and policy execution. Partner with various stakeholders to address compensation-related queries and tailor solutions that meet both operational and strategic needs. Teaching and Capability Building: Design and deliver teaching sessions, presentations, and user guides aimed at demystifying compensation frameworks and policy changes. Develop communication materials that translate complex concepts into practical guidance for managers and HR teams, ensuring effective policy uptake and compliance. Process Optimization: Analyze, design, and streamline end-to-end people processes to remove inefficiencies, standardize procedures across regions, and support scalable, compliant practices. Identify operational gaps and propose improvements that align operational practices with PriceSmart’s strategic objectives. Bring Your Passion and Expertise (Who You Are) A strategic thinker with 3–5 years of experience in compensation, process improvement, finance, or planning. Fluent in English and Spanish (C1 proficiency required). A consultative professional who excels at building relationships across organizational levels and is skilled in presenting complex information in an accessible manner. Bring your data expertise to life with advanced Excel skills —from modeling and projections to transforming insights with Power Query and VBA automation . Bonus points if you know your way around Power BI , or Python to help automate, visualize, and elevate our decision-making. Knowledgeable in compensation and benefits practices across the U.S., Central America, the Caribbean, and Latin American markets. Familiar with job evaluation methodologies (Mercer IPE, Hay) and global HR policies. Driven to improve efficiency by analyzing and optimizing end-to-end processes that support scalable and compliant HR practices.
