**Careers that Change Lives** **A Day in the Life** Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. - Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports. - Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income. - Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. - Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. - Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. - Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. - May be responsible for month end close. - May be responsible for technical support and accounting of M&A; activities. - May oversee technical accounting research for complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards. **Must Have: Minimum Requirements** - Bachelors degree in financial, administrative or related areas. - 2 years of relevant experience working as accountant, record to report, invoice, preparing financial reports or related financial procedures. - Previous experience in financial close process - Fluent in English level. - Knowledge in SAP. - Team player. - Strong communication skills. - Knowledge in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, etc...). - Strong detail oriented. - People and customer skills. - Good critical thinking. - Ability to work in fast paced environment with high attention to detail and accuracy. - Demonstrated ability to manage to deadlines, along with flexibility to changing priorities **Nice to Have** - Fluent in Portuguese level. - Working knowledge of Hyperion reporting systems. - Preferably in a large, multi-national organization. **About Medtronic** Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
