MSL Manager Immunology LATAM Location: Colombia, Argentina or Mexico Up to 40-50% travel expected Job type: Permanent, Full time About the job Our Team: The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Manager role is to align the MSL team with the medical strategy and ensure the tactical execution of the Strategic Engagement Plan. The MSL manager oversees the performance of individual MSLs and the team, tracked against set performance goals. The MSL Manager’s main objectives are to: Demonstrate value for the business and customers via coaching, developing, and leading the MSL team in line with four core accountability areas: (1) Scientific Engagement, (2) Insights Generation, (3) Support Data Generation, (4) Internal Collaboration Co-create and develop Country Medical Plans with relevant stakeholders and lead team execution to align with medical priorities using all available MSL tools. Ensure individual and team performance goals are set and achieved through monitoring metrics, resources, and budgets, ensuring excellence and KPI achievement. Implement continuous talent engagement and retention strategies, including clear career paths and development plans. Maintain relevant, robust, and current clinical/scientific knowledge to ensure fair and balanced scientific exchanges with external stakeholders. Adhere to all compliance and governance processes. Interdependencies: Office-based medical (medical advisor/manager), RWE, HEVA, Pharmacovigilance, CSU, MedInfo (GMI) Commercial operations, Market Access, Public Affairs External customers (Scientific External Experts, Patient Organizations, Medical Societies, Health Authorities, etc.) Main responsibilities: Team coaching, development, and career pathway planning Conduct regular coaching sessions with MSLs to identify strengths and areas for development across the four core accountability areas. Lead and guide individual and team development, prioritizing clinical, technical, and leadership skills through tailored training plans. Support talent attraction, engagement, retention, and career planning based on business needs. Monitor MSLs’ progress against medical and business priorities, informing medical leadership and adjusting strategies as needed. Ensure all MSLs complete global and internal training requirements for compliance. Medical strategy, tactical execution & performance measurement Participate in developing Medical Plans and align MSL initiatives with strategic priorities. Translate strategic priorities into specific goals for regions and MSLs. Supervise MSL activities such as KOL management, territory management, and engagement plan execution, leveraging all available tools. Use data analytics to review and optimize territory reach across Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico. Ensure operational efficiency and balance of activities, implementing multi-channel engagement strategies. Support innovation and field excellence initiatives to add value to HCP interactions. Support Data Generation activities related to company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored studies. Lead and communicate scientific and medical insights Lead insights generation activities, ensuring data collection, review, and analysis for strategic decision-making. Report and facilitate communication of key scientific and clinical insights to internal stakeholders. Escalate insights to regional and global teams when necessary, ensuring follow-up and impact assessment. Ensure MSLs share competitive intelligence responsibly and compliantly. About you Experience: Post-bachelor’s degree (Masters, MBA, or equivalent) preferred but not required. Soft skills: Proven time management, team motivation, and multi-disciplinary collaboration skills are required. Technical skills: Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, medical landscape, regulatory environment, and industry trends; data analytics skills for territory optimization; understanding of local regulations; proficiency in CRM systems and data analytics tools. Education: Medical, pharmacy, life sciences, or postgraduate science degree required. Languages: Proficiency in relevant languages; specific languages are not detailed but should be aligned with the region.
