Terracon is looking for an A/E/C experienced Engineering Office Manager in our Columbia, SC office. You will lead a team of professionals focused on being inclusive, diverse, caring, and high-performing in a growing and profitable office located in a rapidly expanding state. The Columbia Office Manager will provide leadership and manage the administrative and technical activities of an engineering consulting office. Responsibilities include profit/loss management, employee supervision, project management, quality control, health and safety oversight, client development, and new business pursuits. The role also involves overseeing leasehold improvements, project and office equipment, and ensuring proper utilization of all personnel. The position aims to grow office revenue through business development activities. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Oversee an office of approximately 35 professionals, with potential for growth. Align with Terracon's Vision and Values. Communicate safety initiatives, rules, and guidelines within the office. Lead business development efforts in Columbia and surrounding areas. Coordinate pursuits and large proposals across all service lines. Assist Department Managers with staffing needs. Develop and implement the annual office business plan. Create and manage office budgets. Ensure the profitability of the office. Maintain communication with Regional and Division Managers regarding progress, including business development, project schedules, employee management, financial results, and organizational needs. Collaborate with Division, Region, and Corporate teams to maximize technical expertise utilization. Promote continuous quality improvement on projects, ensuring best practices and accountability for quality standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry. Experience with financial and budget management. Experience managing multi-tiered teams. Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history. Preferred Certification: Professional certification or licensure in the relevant field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
