Job Description: - We seek an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our VIX Streaming team, working on high-volume, high-velocity streaming analytical data using Google Cloud Platform. - This role involves building next-generation data solutions, including data pipelines using Google Composer, managing and maintaining data warehouses and lakes on Big Query. About You: - Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks, deadlines, and confidentiality requirements. - Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with a plus if you actively consume Univision content. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Familiarity with cloud data environments, especially Google Cloud Platform. - Building and maintaining big data ETL pipelines using Google Cloud Composer, Python, Infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and SQL. - Building, managing, and maintaining data ingestion processes landing data into Google Storage and Big Query. - Enhancing and maintaining STAR schema analytics data warehouse on Big Query. - Collaborating with the team to come up with optimal solutions. Qualifications: - 10 or more years of experience in data engineering. - Bachelor's / Master's degree or Equivalent. - Demonstrated knowledge of building and owning reliable end-to-end data pipelines. - Expert-level experience with GCP. - Expert understanding of Airflow, Google Composer, Big Query, Google Storage, Data Flow, Pub/Sub, Datawarehouse best practices, Relational and Dimensional Modeling, SQL, Python, Java, and IaC tools like Pulumi. - Experience in deploying pipelines using IaC tools and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with AI concepts and AI-related product offerings on GCP related to Data Engineering.
