Job Description: * DUTIES AND **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Provide expert aviation maintenance and quality control advice to USG INL and Government of Colombia teams supporting the eradication aircraft. - Develop, implement, and manage an annual Maintenance Management Plan for eradication aircraft including major maintenance required to support the USG-established flying hour program. - Report to the Program Manager and Senior Aviation Advisor through the PSC Eradication Advisor. - Oversee the INL ARAVI maintenance and quality control inspector technicians at aerial eradication FOLs. - Work in coordination with INL ARAVI Maintenance and Quality Control advisors to ensure aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition, and all configuration changes follow established INL and CNP protocols. - Provide maintenance and quality control advice to the CNP to ensure the Airworthiness & Maintenance Standards applicable are met. - Conduct FOLs audits as required to ensure all aircraft technical requirements are met. - Coordinate logístical requirements with Eradication Logistics Coordinator to ensure all parts, tools, and equipment required to perform maintenance ion eradication aircraft is readily available. - Coordinate with CNP for maintenance levels one, two and three as required. - Ensure Daily Aircraft Status Report is updated. - Coordinate work orders required to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. - Ensure all maintenance logs and documentation are maintained IAW DA PAM 738-751. - Ensure all technicians assigned comply with all established maintenance programs such as: Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Program, Tool Control, Corrosion Control Program, and all other programs applicable to aviation maintenance. **Job Requirements**: **MINIMUM **QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, military administration, police administration or in an aviation related field, from an accredited institution. **LANGUAGE **LEVEL**: - Spanish: Level 4. Fluent required in Speaking/Reading/Writing/Listening - English: Level 2. Basic Knowledge required in Speaking/Reading/Writing/Listening **EXPERIENCE**: - Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the military or police in the aviation field. - Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with rotary or fixed wing aircraft. - Minimum of 3 years’ maintenance management experience to include supervision of personnel. - Minimum of 3 years’ aviation quality control experience to include formal configuration change processes. - Experience in aviation production control, to include planning and processing maintenance phases, establishing maintenance priorities and maintenance operations, is preferred. - Knowledge of Colombian Aeronautical Civil, U.S. FAA, and U.S. military maintenance regulations is required. - Experience with logistics management of rotatory or fix wing is preferred. **KNOWLEDGE** OF: * - Standard Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) is preferred. - Standard Knowledge of Colombian safety standards and procedures is required. **SKILLS **IN**: - Maintenance management experience to include supervision of personnel. - Planning and processing maintenance phases, establishing maintenance priorities and maintenance operations. - Aviation Quality Control and associated processes. - Conflict management skills are required to resolve internal and external situations satisfactorily - Must have the abilities and skills to communicate effectively with host nation and U.S. officials. - Organize, analyze, schedule, and maintain accurate records of individual work performed. **ABILITY **TO**: - Understand and follow oral and written instructions in the Spanish or English language. - Have excellent interpersonal communications abilities. - Work cooperatively with other US Government and Colombian employees. - Productively work with little or no supervision. - Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB AND WORKING **ENVIRONMENT**: - Capable of traveling to, and staying at, austere Forward Operating Locations for extended periods in order to coordinate maintenance and quality control processes within Colombia.
