Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer who will be responsible for creating detailed designs, models, and drafts for various construction and signage projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and drafting, with a focus on precision and accuracy. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and production teams, to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept to completion. Qualifications English Proficiency : Advanced written and verbal skills (C1 level) for global communication. Mechanical Engineering Degree: Solid foundation in engineering principles. Mechanical Design Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with a proven track record. CAD Expertise: Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (including iLogic), AutoCAD, and other Autodesk software; Revit knowledge is a plus. Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Practical experience with structural and thermal analysis. Certifications: Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Inventor preferred. Project Management: Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects on time. Industry Standards: Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices. Collaboration: Effective teamwork with engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams. Design Optimization: Skilled in optimizing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability. Conceptualization and Design: Generate innovative and feasible mechanical design concepts based on project requirements, considering factors such as functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. 3D Modeling and Analysis: Utilize advanced skills in 3D modeling software, including Autodesk Inventor and other relevant tools, to create detailed and accurate representations of mechanical components and systems. Conduct thorough analyses, such as finite element analysis (FEA), to validate design performance. 2D Drafting and Documentation: Create precise 2D drawings and detailed documentation using CAD software, ensuring clarity and adherence to industry standards. Provide comprehensive design documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless collaboration throughout the design and development phases. Effectively communicate design intent and address feedback. BOM Creation: Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each design project, detailing components, materials, and quantities required for manufacturing and assembly. Maintain meticulous records to support the production process. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance design methodologies. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Conduct thorough reviews to identify and rectify potential issues, ensuring the highest quality in the final product. Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving design-related challenges, and offering guidance on design principles and best practices. Documentation Management : Maintain organized and up-to-date design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders. Facilitate efficient retrieval of information for reference and future use.
