About the Role Grade Level: 10 (for internal use) Role: Data Engineer Division: S&P Global Commodity Insights Location: Remote - Mexico or Colombia The Team: Responsible for developing and automating processes and models that support commodity analytics, collaborating with analysts across disciplines in a dynamic, agile environment. Responsibilities Create commodity models using predictive, statistical, and econometric techniques. Implement, manage, and maintain analytical solutions independently. Collaborate with data, content, and product management teams to analyze datasets. Document work thoroughly and deliver disciplined execution. Work with stakeholders to clean, model, and visualize data. Extract insights and improve dataset accuracy. Automate workflows and modernize operational processes aligning with team strategies. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields. Fluent in English (spoken and written). At least 3 years of experience in similar roles. Experience with end-to-end analytical modeling projects. Ability to build relationships with technical and non-technical partners. Experience in data automation and Machine Learning. Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and Python. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in economics, engineering, or related fields. Experience in the commodity sector. Experience in Agile environments and with tools like PySpark, Copilot, ChatGPT, CI/CD. Note: Send your resume in English.
