Business Overview The Investment Consulting Team at Aon Hewitt provides investment consulting and fiduciary management services to pension schemes, optimizing and managing third-party spend to realize savings globally. Role Summary We are seeking a seasoned professional to support our investment consulting operations in delivering high-quality services to external clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting macroeconomic research, providing financial market updates, and analyzing asset class performance across various geographic regions. Key Responsibilities - Lead a team of 15-20 Analysts/Investment Analysts or Associates, providing coaching, supervision, and regular feedback on deliverables, quality, and escalation response. - Take ownership of deliverables to meet stakeholder expectations and manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective outcomes. - Develop and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation impacting team deliverables. - Exhibit knowledge, experience, and skills to mentor and coach colleagues, drive operational excellence, and contribute to business growth plans. - Build strong relationships with stakeholders, promote the team/colleagues, and drive colleague engagement and support initiatives in developing a positive work environment. Required Skills and Competencies - Excellent theoretical knowledge and background experience in financial services, specifically in investment management and/or portfolio management. - Strong understanding of various financial asset classes and their risk-return profiles. - Practical knowledge of MS Office product suites, including VBA/Excel Macros/MS Access. - Disciplined and professional approach in delivering results and ability to act as successor for the next role. - Excellent project management, organizational, and team management skills. - Self-motivated individual who takes additional team initiatives without external motivation. - Good communication and customer service skills, with presentation, articulation, and ability to interact with senior leaders. - Ability to convince customers with right reasoning and presentation of facts. - Collaborative and willingness to participate in wider initiatives. - Analytical skills and strong business knowledge, leading and motivating teams.
