The Job: The Global Grants and Compliance Manager will report to the Director of Grant Compliance, working closely with regional offices and the Finance and Accounting teams. The role involves managing the Center’s portfolio of grants, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies, and providing technical expertise throughout the grant lifecycle. This is a fixed-term, 2-year position based in Bogota, Colombia. Primary Responsibilities: Serve as the technical advisor for grants compliance, supporting regional offices and teams in understanding donor requirements and resolving compliance challenges. Conduct quality assurance of donor financial reports, ensuring alignment with requirements and organizational processes. Review grant contracts for consistency with proposals and budgets, flagging risks or misalignments. Create and disseminate grant ID codes and provide guidance on budget mapping and monitoring. Prepare and analyze internal budget reports, highlighting financial risks and ensuring timely, accurate reporting. Contribute to grant management documentation, participate in team meetings, and support application of GLC tools. Review proposal budgets and narratives for consistency, addressing organizational and donor compliance issues. Monitor grant and grantee risks, escalating issues as needed, and providing risk mitigation advice. Assist with grant audits and ensure proper documentation and archiving. Partnerships: Collaborate with regional and organizational teams to ensure compliance with award and donor requirements. Customize partner tools and conduct high-level reviews of financial proposals and reports. Maintain oversight of grantee financial status, ensuring appropriate controls and risk mitigation. Build relationships with partners and internal teams, contributing to dashboards and workstream management. Developing Self and Others: Contribute to team deliverables, training, and process improvements. Maintain current knowledge of policies, donor regulations, and best practices. Support the enhancement of the GLC system and organizational compliance culture. Global Training: Assist in designing and delivering global grants compliance training. Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Development, Finance/Accounting, Economics, or related field, with professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent). 8+ years of experience in grants and partnership management at multiple levels within INGOs. Fluent in English and Spanish. Strong communication, financial, and analytical skills. Experience with donor regulations and compliance training. Knowledge of reproductive rights issues in Latin America and the Caribbean is a plus. Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
