We are currently recruiting for an **Accountant**with strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a solid understanding of credit and collections practices to join our team. **What you will be doing** He or She will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding customer invoices, maintaining accurate account records, and ensuring the timely resolution of payment issues for all Latin America customers. This role operates in alignment with Stolt’s accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to robust internal controls. **Key Responsibilities** - Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies by validating open balances against remittances, credit memos, and internal records. - Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve account discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues for timely resolution; Track dispute status using the collections tool and ensure efficient resolution. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the collections tool, including notes, communications, and dispute statuses; Generate and review aging reports, highlighting high-risk accounts for management, and provide regular timely status updates. - Ensure collection activities comply with company policies and internal controls - Escalate payment plans or exceptions to the commercial team for approval; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve account issues efficiently - Provide documentation for credit limit reviews and account summaries; Assist finance with ad-hoc tasks related to receivables, controls, and audit preparation. **Qualifications** - High school diploma (Bachiller Académico) required; Technical, technological, or university-level education in accounting, finance, or business administration is a plus. - Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit & collections, or related finance roles; Direct experience managing collections for customers across Latin America. - An experienced user of ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred) and Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word. - Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English, with the ability to engage effectively with LATAM customers and internal stakeholders. - Detail-oriented and capable of managing a high volume of regional accounts while maintaining accuracyCapable of navigating complex account issues and escalating appropriately for resolution **What we offer** - You will be part of an international organization with opportunities for personal growth. - Competitive pay and benefits package. - A full-time role. **Extra** - CV's must be in English to be considered. - Deadline to apply: May 26, 2025 **About Stolt-Nielsen** Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL), is focused on opportunities in logistics, distribution, and aquaculture.
