About the position: The English Specialist is responsible for assessing and driving the interpersonal communication skills of Third Way Health’s operations teams . The English Specialist will evaluate operations personnel's U.S. American English language proficiency and determine training plans to improve their skills. This individual will also develop, create, and implement training on language, cultural context, and emotional communication techniques for leadership and operations personnel. The English Specialist will deliver value to the learning journey of Third Way Health team members by using data and best practices in communication to enhance overall the patient and customer experience. Responsibilities: Develops standards of U.S. American English language proficiency for operational team leads and team members. Develops training plans for improving communication competence and English Skills. Creates training materials, including learning objectives, syllabi, and presentations, to improve English proficiency. Utilizes a learning management system to organize and scale the execution of training strategy. Designs and validates methods of assessing U.S. American English language proficiency. Identifies models of interpersonal communication best practices, to integrate into trainings and educational materials. Evaluates operational team lead and team member's written and conversational skill in interpersonal communication and U.S. American English language. Analyzes evaluation data, identifies key findings and trends, and communicates actionable insights to stakeholders, such as Training and Quality Assurance, Operations, and Customer Success. Coordinates and facilitates coaching sessions for individuals, providing feedback and recommendations on fluency, grammar, tone, and empathy. Prepares and analyzes internal and external quality reports for management review. Facilitate English lessons and programs for existing and new operations personnel and leaders. Organize, update, and own all process documentation related to the English Specialist’s role and responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Required skills and qualifications: University degree in English studies, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) with strong spoken and written communication. Experience in coaching and training, preferably in a corporate environment. Strong facilitation, presentation, and feedback skills. Ability to conduct language assessments and track progress. Analytical mindset to evaluate and assess data. Patience, empathy, and adaptability to support different learning styles. Strong active listening and motivational skills. Proficiency in training tools, LMS, and communication platforms. Knowledge of instructional design principles to create effective learning materials and training programs.
