IT Manager Job Purpose The CI&T IT Manager is a key member of our Global IT department, responsible for resolving technical problems promptly and accurately. We seek a highly qualified IT Manager to lead our IT team, develop and implement strategies supporting business objectives, manage projects, resources, and ensure communication with the Global IT Squad Leader while adhering to headquarters' processes. Responsibilities The goal is to ensure efficient and secure operation of technology systems, support internal clients, align global IT strategies with local needs, and meet organizational objectives. Leadership: Lead and motivate IT staff, develop and manage budgets, stay updated on technological trends, and contribute to AI implementation strategies. On-site Tech Support: Establish best practices based on headquarters standards, train team members, and ensure high-quality support. Documentation: Own and update local IT processes, create user guides, and maintain technical documentation. Communication: Effectively communicate technical information, prioritize issues, and provide exceptional customer service. Issue Resolution & Critical Incident Management: Lead response to escalated issues and coordinate efforts to restore services quickly. Stakeholder Communication & Process Improvement: Maintain clear communication during escalations and analyze trends for continuous improvement. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure regulatory compliance and manage IT risks. Budget & Vendor Management: Oversee IT budget and evaluate vendor relationships. Cybersecurity & User Training: Implement security protocols and train end-users. Collaboration & Inventory Management: Work with business units, manage IT assets, and stay informed on technology advancements. Additional Responsibilities: Promote innovation, develop problem-solving checklists, report to senior management, and facilitate professional development. Security & On-site Presence: Enforce security policies and be present at the Medellin office weekly. Knowledge and Experience Minimum 5 years in IT management or similar, with leadership and project management experience. Technical support and training background, with excellent communication skills in English. Vendor relationship management experience. Proficiency in Windows, Linux Ubuntu, Mac OS, Google Workspace, Jira, Office 365, Adobe, Slack, Zoom, Patch management, RMM, UEM, MDM. Ability to work independently. Education Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related; Master’s or certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, ITIL) are a plus. Fluent in English.
