Learn more: http://coderio.com A fast-paced, forward-thinking technology team is looking for a Senior DevOps Security Engineer with strong technical expertise and excellent self-management skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, independently drive their work forward, and provide regular visibility into task progress—without the need for daily supervision by the Tech Lead. Key Responsibilities: Support and implement cybersecurity controls across Cloud and Legacy (IaaS) environments, with an eye toward maintaining state of compliance (SoC). Develop and enforce security policies in private cloud environments, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and future initiatives in AWS. Enhance the security of containerized environments and orchestrators (e.g., Kubernetes), including rule and metric generation. Configure, operate, and optimize security tools such as AV, SIEM, FALCO, and GCP Security. Improve the configuration and performance of monitoring tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance API security, propose automation solutions, and support integration efforts. Support Incident Response activities when required. Contribute to global cybersecurity initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards. Prepare and maintain documentation including security reports, reviews, and control matrices. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Cloud Security / Cybersecurity. Strong experience with cloud-native security tools, preferably in GCP (knowledge of other cloud service providers is also welcome). Solid understanding of Linux/Windows environments, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture. In-depth knowledge of OWASP, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and API behavior. Skilled in log analysis and investigative queries to determine “when, why, and who” using IT/DevOps tools. Familiarity with cryptographic standards, PKI, PCI DSS, and SOC 2 compliance. Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash. Preferred certifications: CySA+, Security+, CEH (or equivalent). Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude. Advanced English Nice to have: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security best practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
