Position Summary The Engineer is responsible for generating bids for public and private tenders, requests for quotations received directly from clients or through vendors. This includes organizing and prioritizing proposal selection and preparation, choosing the team best suited to meet technical and commercial requirements. The role also involves following up on proposals and supporting sales visits to ensure success in the sales process. Essential Responsibilities Provide effective technical support to customers and vendors. Select centrifugal and positive displacement pumping equipment and accessories according to technical specifications, whether requested in writing or verbally. Prepare bids for tenders, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and legal requirements and bid deadlines. Request competitive bids from suppliers for drives, motors, turbines, engines, seals, couplings, instrumentation, and accessories that meet technical scopes and customer requests. Track the status of sent bids and gather vendor feedback to facilitate proposal completion. Support and defend proposals during client visits, addressing technical and commercial concerns, and identifying business development opportunities. Request factory technical support and delivery times, and determine competitive multipliers based on industry and client needs. Participate actively in conferences, training sessions, and sales meetings, providing updates on proposals and related matters. Maintain up-to-date information in company databases linked to proposals. Prepare purchase order files, ensuring accurate entry and alignment with client requests. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
