Position: Senior Data Engineer Working closely with a key client in the financial sector, your main responsibilities will include: Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design optimal data solutions, fostering a data-driven culture. Leading strategic prototyping workshops for objective clarification and collaborating across Global Technology Shared Services to productionize solutions. Understanding different approaches for self-service BI versus corporate BI, including data source selection and ETL strategies. Driving reporting efficiencies through internal practice categorization, creating sharing platforms, and training Power BI report designers and users. Acting as a Power BI evangelist, staying updated on technology trends, and understanding use cases and alternatives. Contributing to the Power Platform center of excellence to establish governance structures. Assessing adoption and satisfaction, working with product teams and UX specialists, and promoting a collaborative, creative problem-solving approach. Candidate Profile: Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, skilled in data analysis, modeling, and ETL process design. Proficient in SQL, with performance tuning expertise and handling large data volumes. Knowledge of enterprise big data architectures, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS, Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory. Experience with Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps), Power BI, and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio. Understanding of security models within data estates and good English proficiency (C1). Preferred Skills: Experience in establishing reporting governance frameworks and promoting adoption. Knowledge of SAFe practices and data interfaces like APIs, Snowflake, databases, and file formats. Understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift-left.
