Job Description Under the direction of the Head of GPVCM, the Operations Lead supports overall operational effectiveness and efficiency of critical processes and systems: Strategic oversight and management of operations required to drive the daily business Lead the development and continuous improvement of business processes, tools and systems Ensure establishment and review of comprehensive metrics and analytics to monitor performance Strategic/tactical special projects as needed Primary Activities include but are not limited to: Accountability for process ownership and systems Ability to lead and influence global teams to ensure proper management of activities, processes, and systems Accountable for establishing robust communication channels to drive alignment among team members Serve as primary contact for critical stakeholder (Global Pharmacovigilance) for both strategic input as well as issues tied to process and systems Participate and provide strategic input to GPVCM Leadership Team Serve on Governance Committees with Global Clinical Safety & Pharmacovigilance as well as other key functions such as IT Development of programs to embed expert process knowledge, both role-specific and end-to-end Capacity planning management, including resourcing Comprehensive oversight of performance monitoring including metric and data analysis Development, implementation & monitoring of cultural adaptations Serve as point of contact for coordination of audits and agency inspections including preparation and presentation of material as well as participation in responses and action plans Vendor Management Lead and/or participate in strategic improvement initiatives with application of project management principles including risk identification and management Additional responsibilities as delegated by the GPVCM Leadership Team Manage and develop direct reports, effectively coaching and providing guidance commensurate with project and employee needs. Provide technical guidance and oversight, ensuring staff understand priorities and issues in relation to their daily work, projects, and the overall needs of the organization. Operate well individually in the face of ambiguity and translates this leadership to staff in order to contribute to efficient forward progress as a department. Work with other People Managers to ensure that best practices are being employed across projects and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
