We are seeking a software engineer to develop cloud security blueprints for Google Cloud Platform, encompassing security best practices used by leading companies globally. A blueprint is a package of deployable, reusable modules and policies that implement and document a specific security solution. Development work is conducted on open source projects. Background, skills, and experience: 1. Good experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (2+ years); 2. Infrastructure automation with Terraform (1+ years); 3. Solid background in software development, Java, Python, or Go (3+ years); 4. Proficiency in English (CEFR B2); 5. Ability to understand and develop requirements autonomously, demonstrating results and progress; 6. Skills in testing, investigating, analyzing, solving, and communicating problems; 7. Ability to propose, discuss solutions, and incorporate feedback; 8. Full-cycle software engineering: from understanding problems to delivering solutions, including testing and technical documentation; 9. Capability to automate and optimize development tasks; 10. Quick learner of new technologies. Additional preferred experiences: 1. Experience with multiple programming languages; 2. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security; 3. Knowledge of Kubernetes and GKE; 4. Possession of GCP certifications such as Cloud Architect, Cloud Security Engineer, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Developer, or Cloud Network Engineer; 5. Terraform certifications; 6. Other relevant GCP certifications; 7. English proficiency at CEFR C1+ level.
