Key Responsibilities: - Review electrical plans and specifications to identify scope, materials, and labor requirements for accurate project estimation - Perform detailed quantity take-offs for electrical components, including conduit, wiring, panels, fixtures, and devices - Develop comprehensive cost estimates, factoring in labor rates, material pricing, subcontractor quotes, and project timelines - Collaborate with project managers and estimators to align budgets with design intent and client expectations - Ensure compliance with local codes and standards, integrating safety and efficiency into all design and estimation work - Support bid preparation and proposal development, providing technical input and value engineering suggestions - Track and update cost databases, maintaining accuracy and consistency across multiple projects - Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and lead times for electrical materials and equipment - Assist in design revisions, incorporating feedback from field teams, clients, and regulatory bodies. - Utilize AutoCAD or Revit to interpret and modify electrical drawings for estimation and design purposes Technical Knowledge & Skills Required: - Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit for electrical drafting. - Experience in Navisworks is an advantage. - Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting principles. - Familiarity with industry standards and building codes related to electrical design.
