Requirements: - Technical, technological, or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. - Conversational English (B2 level or higher). - 6-9 years of extensive experience with AS/Mainframe systems. - Expert-level knowledge of RPG (including free-form RPG), CL, DB2, and other AS/Mainframe technologies. - Proven experience with IBMi operating system and administration. - Advanced SQL and database optimization skills. - Experience with performance tuning and system optimization. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Experience leading technical projects or development teams. - Strong AS RPGLE/SQL DB2 experience, including working with and consuming web APIs. - A methodical and analytical approach to complex problem-solving. - Proven troubleshooting skills, especially in identifying and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks. - The ability to apply their knowledge to design scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions. - Experience with web services, APIs, and integration patterns. - Experience with system integration between legacy and modern platforms. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain applications on AS/Mainframe systems. - Write, test, and debug RPG, CL, and COBOL programs. - Design and maintain DB2 databases and files. - Implement batch processing jobs and interactive applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve system issues. - Optimize existing applications for performance and reliability. - Create and maintain technical documentation. - Participate in system upgrade and maintenance activities. Desirable: - Knowledge of .NET development. - Experience with modernization of legacy applications. - Experience with RDi (Rational Developer for i). - Knowledge of modern DevOps practices as they apply to legacy systems.
