**Role Summary**: **Responsibilities**: - Select the appropriate welding method, such as TIG, MIG, MAG or stick. - Plan and lay out work from blueprints and manufacturers’ specification sheets, using shop math and measuring instruments. - Setting up and operating a conventional lathe for the preparation of welded parts. - Proper Identification of materials and component preparation. - Assembly activities during production. - Welding repairs on raw and finished parts. - Welding installations based on technical drawings. - Complete all welding work assigned according to operation instruction. - Verify the quality of finished work, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of specifications and workmanship - Meet production goals relating to efficiency, schedules, and scrap. - Troubleshoot and correct process and equipment problems. - Collaborate with machinists and assemblers on the team to discuss and solve problems relating to repairs and equipment. - Record accurate, timely data on computer-based systems or in manual logs. - Maintain a safe workplace by wearing relevant protective equipment according to safety protection requirements, following procedures and rules, and completing training. - Clean and maintain machines and tools and keep an organized workspace. - Carry out relevant heat treatment operation according to heat treatment operation instruction or process documents. - Other duties as assigned. **Requirements**: - Welding experience in mechanical fabrication or valve industry. - PT and MT related certifications preferred. - Experience in post weld heat treatment. - Good technical knowledge. - Knowledge of SAP. - Ability to work independently, flexible and accurate. - Good team spirit and initiative. - Full time availability. - Standing for long periods of time, repetitive arm movements, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. required. - Welding certificate. - High School Diploma/GED and 3-5 years of relevant experience. **Req ID** : R-13679 **Job Family Group** : Operations **Job Family** : OP Machine Operation EOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.
