Job Description: * DUTIES AND **RESPONSIBILITIES** - This position will provide technical support to CNP SIIMA personnel to improve imagery data processing, spatial analysis and mission planning related to increased aviation support for eradication. - Works in a technical capacity under the coordination of the INL ARAVI SIIMA Manager and coordinates tasks with the Geographic Information Systems and Cartography Advisor. - Responsibilities include supporting the preparation and presentation of reports, maps and analysis of geographic data collected through remote sensors (airborne and satellite), as well as data collected in the field and by other sources and gathered in SIIMA. - Will support in the analysis, preparation, improvement and distribution of geographic reports and presentations using Business Intelligence (BI) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to improve support on the field for planning operation. - Will support the GIS and Cartography Advisor in the improvement and automatization in the improvement and automatization of spatial analysis and satellite and airborne imagery processing workflows for the generation of thematic maps and information to be used for SIIMA and their users. - Will support the development and implementation of the feedback process provided by internal and external SIIMA users for the products delivered (maps, reports, dashboards, analysis, etc.) and will support the Geographic Information Systems Advisor and SIIMA in defining and documenting of the processes necessary to improve those products. - Will support the documentation, storage, and adequate inventory of the data collected and used in SIIMA during the fulfillment of its objectives. **Job Requirements**: **MINIMUM **QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** - Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Cadastral, Forestry, Environmental Engineering or Geography. - Must have a specialization in Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Analysis, Remote Sensing or Geomatics. **LANGUAGE **LEVEL**: Spanish: Level 4 = Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing/Listening English: Level 2 = Basic Knowledge required in Speaking/Reading/Writing/Listening **EXPERIENCE**: - Minimum 4 years of professional technical experience in remote sensing, spatial analysis, and mapping projects. - Experience in the collection, analysis, and processing of geographic data and digital images preferably using geoscripting languages and/or modeling tools (Python, R, JavaScript in Google Earth Engine etc.). - Experience working with Geographic Information Systems Software (ArcGIS Pro) also experience in Digital Image Processing Software (PCI, ERDAS, ENVI) is preferred. **KNOWLEDGE** OF: * - Strong knowledge of spatial analysis and cartographic processes. - Strong knowledge of geoscripting languages and modeling tools to manage, analyze, and summarize geographic data. - Standard knowledge of digital image processing software and techniques to processing and classify multispectral imagery obtained from satellite and airborne sensors. **SKILLS **IN**: - Effectively communicate processes to Colombian National Police personnel with various levels of experience and expertise in GIS. - Write concise and effective technical and informational reports. - Must have the abilities and skills to communicate effectively with host nation and U.S. officials. **ABILITY **TO**: - Produce accurate reports, maps and presentations through the processing and analysis of multiples types of spatial data to support decision making process. - Work effectively as a team member and work well independently - Write effectively and quickly in Spanish. - Self-learn, and creatively solve problems with attention to detail. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB AND WORKING **ENVIRONMENT**: - Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others. - Capable of traveling to austere Forward Operating Locations as required.
