As a Floral Department Leader at Kroger, you will be responsible for implementing company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the Floral department. You will also be expected to role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others. The successful candidate will develop strong customer relationships by leading floral department personnel through personal example of friendliness and courtesy, while implementing all company policies. They will also be responsible for receiving, processing, and producing Florist Transworld Delivery orders for delivery. Responsibilities: - Develop maximum customer relations by floral department personnel through personal example of friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies. - Be perceptive and handle customer complaints. - Responsible for receiving, processing, and producing Florist Transworld Delivery orders for delivery. - Coach and train on pricing, price marking, rotation, stocking, insuring the proper emphasis on customer courtesy and productivity. - Provide active support of our Customer 1st culture. - Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Floral Department. - Direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all floral products. - Order properly to maintain adequate stock and supplies and guard against waste and pilferage. - Maintain and submit required records and reports and use them effectively. - Maintain effective and good house cleaning in all areas. - Analyze continuously all aspects of Floral Department and periodically make changes or make recommendations to store manager. - Promote, communicate and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner. - Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports. - Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment. - Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner. - Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. - Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues. - Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
