Key Responsibilities The Senior System Administrator role entails supporting the implementation, configuration, monitoring, backup and operations in a highly available computing environment. This includes ensuring system performance remains optimal, reliability stays high, and updates are seamlessly integrated. Some of the key responsibilities include: - Maintaining the integrity of the operating system server environment, including installing system software upgrades. - Managing on-premises infrastructure to meet business objectives for all business units and sites. - Ensuring M365 services related to Messaging, Mobility and Modern Deployment are secure and functioning correctly. - Monitoring services health, availability and capacity to provide services and support Service Level Agreements (SLA's). Work will be closely coordinated with internal teams and external specialists to implement complex project and operations deliverables. Additional responsibilities include: - Implementing, managing and monitoring various business and infrastructure services. - Maintaining user directory (AD) services and Operating System services such as file systems, filesystem replication etc... Coordinating disk space and storage allocations. - Performing workstation and server installation and administration, maintaining continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. - Administering and maintaining the backup software and hardware, performing data backups and recoveries. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: - 5-7 years of work experience in a systems administration role or equivalent. - Extensive experience as a System Administrator, proficiency in various operating systems and servers. - Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and security principles, virtualization technologies and cloud platforms. - Knowledge of storage area networking (SAN) and virtual array management, experience with system monitoring tools and methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Additionally, the following qualifications would be beneficial: - Certificate degree in Information Technology or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - CCNA/MCITP/MCSA certification is an asset. - Experience managing Microsoft Exchange in a Hybrid configuration, expertise with PowerShell and Veeam. Language Requirements Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written, is required.
