Role Purpose: (A brief overview of a broad role purpose and its context) The main objective is to actively execute the underwriting for the Property, Power & Energy and Construction lines in accordance with the guidelines granted in the company policies and the respective letters of authority granted, as well as provide support to the AVP Property Manager in developing and executing the company's strategy and actively supporting the Everest Global Markets underwriting community. Key Accountabilities: (8-9 statements describing core responsibilities) Produce, Underwrite and service accounts and to assist with Property underwriting and departmental workflow systems, processes, and related issues as necessary. Expand the Property portfolio in line with controls, underwriting strategy, and guidelines, while always maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit and delivery Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key brokers and clients. Underwrite and price Property and Power risks, including all forms of distribution, and determine the acceptability of risks for underwriting. Bind various coverages subject to authority level and answer inquiries from producers Prepare quotations and formal proposals on new and renewal business. Ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to standards. Assist Head of Property in addressing and resolving overdues, workflow, and various clerical issues as necessary Effectively communicate with management on all issues both within and outside the Unit as needed. Interact and coordinate activities with other departments. Liaise with other underwriting departments as necessary. Recommend new procedures and programs were warranted. Furnish intelligence on the Property market, including competitor strengths and weaknesses. Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and / or carry out responsibilities and / or administrative activities. Develop business through execution of new ideas and strategies. Professional Experience: Engineering or Professional in related careers such as administration, economics. 3 to 5 years in underwriting departments of insurers and/or reinsurers in Property, Power and/or Construction lines. Knowledge and handle of catastrophic modeling tools Intermediate/high English Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools. Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills. High proactivity and sense of belonging (accountability) High analysis capacity. Numerical and calculation skills.
