What the S&M Manager contributes to Cardinal Health How the Sales & Marketing Manager contributes to Cardinal Health The S&M Manager will be responsible for the commercial leadership of the assigned country, including but not limited to business strategy and development. They will coordinate supporting functions to ensure alignment with global and regional strategies, in accordance with regulatory, compliance, corporate policies, and local regulations and practices. Accountabilities Achieves business goals and objectives through existing business growth opportunities and identifying new business opportunities across the assigned country. Drives top-line growth through channel development and direct accounts. Identifies success factors for progressive and dynamic business growth, develops and implements sales strategy. Manages profitability and drives increase in contribution margin. Analyzes, constructs, and implements distributor structure within the country. Identifies key needs and challenges and aligns internal support to help execute solutions. Develops, maintains, and cultivates close relationships with decision-makers and other influencers, securing sales and product line penetration based on marketing insights. Understands and influences pricing within the regions, strengthening business line recognition in the industry, clients, and distributors. Develops go-to-market strategies for the local market to drive accelerated and profitable growth. Manages and develops relationships with key accounts. Works in conjunction with functional areas to manage working capital metrics (AR and inventories). Leadership Leads the sales function; manages the team to achieve established goals and objectives. Ensures cross-functional teams are aligned to successfully develop and implement sales strategies. Attracts, develops, and retains outstanding talent. Develops succession planning initiatives and fosters growth opportunities for high-potential employees. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; MBA preferred. 8 to 10+ years of experience in commercial sales and operations with direct and channel management models. 7+ years of leadership experience in commercial positions within a multinational environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries. Proven success in managing sales teams. Native proficiency in Spanish and advanced proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Solid understanding of and experience in the country’s markets (direct and channel distribution). High capacity to manage and clarify complex technical and customer requirements, providing clear leadership. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence effectively at the country level and across all employee levels. Experienced professional capable of working within a matrix environment. What is expected of you and others at this level Provides leadership and experience to all front-line supervisors.
