Hiring Department Division of Information Technology Job Description This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Oracle and MySQL database installations for the University of Missouri System. Main responsibilities include: Installation, upgrade, and patching of database software Backup and restore of databases Maintaining database replication for disaster recovery Troubleshooting performance and configuration issues Maintaining and customizing database monitoring solutions Developing and implementing standardized methods for all tasks above The role requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and some off-hours work. Shift M-F, 8am - 5pm, with on-call responsibilities as described above. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years in an IT field, preferably in Higher Education. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle and/or MySQL database administration, Linux shell scripting, and familiarity with REST APIs. Anticipated Hiring Range Salary: $52,915 - $83,304, commensurate with experience Title: Database Administrator Internal applicants can check their university title via the Talent Profile in myHR.
