Job Overview The Prison Offender Manager will lead the management and assessment of selected low to medium risk prisoners, preparing and implementing their sentence plans. This role involves building effective relationships with prisoners to reduce reoffending. The Prison Offender Manager will also support probation officers in managing high-risk prisoners, having undergone specialized training. All staff are responsible for safeguarding children's welfare. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise and manage prisoners safely and securely. 2. Understand and comply with national and local policies. 3. Maintain professional relationships with prisoners and staff. 4. Update systems as per local agreements. 5. Prepare documentation for verification. 6. Participate in relevant meetings. 7. Acknowledge risks posed by offenders to protect victims and the public.
