Check out our TNC Talent playlist on YouTube to hear stories from staff or visit Glassdoor. **WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**: **_The Community-Led Science and GIS Analysis Specialist-_** will lead and provide technical, scientific and management support in all processes related to analysis, research, actions, programs and strategies linked to community monitoring of territories, ecosystems, biodiversity, deforestation, socio-ecosystem resilience analysis, governance, effective participation, vulnerability, among others. In addition, it must prepare technical and scientific reports, informative key information outputs, proposals, among others, as well as coordinate and/or advise actions and processes from the Community-Based Conservation (CbC) program but actively articulating with the entire conservation team, science and policy team. This position reports to the leader of the Community based Conservation program and is located in Bogotá/Colombia. **WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU**: By joining the TNC Colombia team, the Community-Led Science and GIS Analysis Specialist works as part of the Community-Based Conservation (CbC) program of TNC Colombia. The specialist works closely with the other conservation programs and the science and policy team to: Lead, support, accompany and/or advise all strategies, actions, research, analysis and programs related to science led by communities, GIS analysis, comprehensive assessment of biodiversity and benefits of nature, community monitoring of territories, among others; seeking to guarantee the differential, gender and intergenerational approach to raise the voice and action of indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLC) in endogenous and exogenous research processes and integral community innovation. In active coordination with the CbC program leader and the other members of the team, she/he must support the structuring and consolidation of the community science pillar of the program, as well as design, implement and support the strengthening of capacities of base organizations (IPLC) and lead the administration, support and compilation of data and key information for analysis and output of key information linked to cartography, data and other necessary analyzes for documents, proposals, communication material among others. The responsibilities and scope of this position includes: - Lead the structuring and implementation of capacity-building exercises, exchange of experiences, two - way transfer of knowledge, from the dialogue approach of knowledge systems for local, subnational, and national IPLC base organizations, in biodiversity, ecosystems, vulnerability, ecosystem resilience, endogenous and exogenous research, community-led monitoring exercises. - Lead, accompany, and advise the implementation of practical monitoring exercises based on communities, participatory monitoring and other approaches, linking local, subnational, national, international platforms and the generation of own platforms linked to information technologies. - Design and develop robust methodological and conceptual frameworks and statistical analyzes that include spatial, biodiversity, socioeconomic, deforestation, and cultural indicators with particular emphasis on governance, effective participation, and the gender and intergenerational approach. - Lead the administration, support, and collection of data and information for analysis and output of key information for documents, proposals, communication material, and conservation agenda, among others. - Lead, support, accompany and/or advise all strategies, actions, research, analysis, and programs related to community monitoring of territories, both terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems, biodiversity, analysis of socio-ecosystem resilience, and comprehensive valuations of ecosystem services, among other associated analyses. - Execute fieldwork to gather required information, in addition to supervising, accompanying, and advising actions of partners of allied organizations in the broad spectrum of community-led science and related processes of both civil society organizations, IPLC organizations, state organizations, and academic and research sector, among others - Work in variable climatic conditions, in remote locations, on terrain with conditions of communication, and stability, and in physically demanding circumstances. - Follow up and supervise the cons
