About the Role We are seeking a skilled Dynatrace Engineer with deep experience in application performance monitoring, observability, and systems optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing Dynatrace for both infrastructure and application performance insights across complex, distributed environments. This role will play a key part in ensuring end-to-end visibility and proactive monitoring to support operational excellence and business continuity. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and manage Dynatrace monitoring solutions across cloud-native and hybrid environments. - Configure Dynatrace agents, custom metrics, dashboards, alerts, and synthetic monitoring for key applications and services. - Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to define SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs for performance monitoring. - Analyze telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) to identify trends, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization. - Provide root cause analysis and performance tuning recommendations based on Dynatrace insights. - Develop and maintain documentation for monitoring architecture, tagging strategy, alerting thresholds, and response playbooks. - Integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines, ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), and incident response tools (e.g., PagerDuty). - Educate teams on observability best practices and promote a monitoring-as-code culture. Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace in enterprise or cloud-native environments. - Strong understanding of observability principles and application performance monitoring (APM). - Experience with full-stack monitoring (infrastructure, network, application, user experience). - Proficiency in setting up dashboards, service flows, Smartscape, Problem Detection, and AI-driven root cause analysis. - Familiarity with microservices architectures, container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Solid scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and integrations. Nice to Have: - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible. - Familiarity with other observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics). - Experience in integrating Dynatrace into DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines. - Background in performance testing tools and methodologies. - Certifications in Dynatrace or related APM tools.
