Job Description We are hiring a Regional Sourcing Specialist based in Colombia to support the implementation of a key international project across Latin America. This role is critical in helping our team identify, engage, and qualify reliable local vendors, suppliers, and service providers that align with project needs. As part of our broader procurement and operations team, the specialist will focus on expanding our regional vendor network, gathering key market intelligence, and ensuring readiness to meet upcoming project requirements efficiently. Location: Colombia Job Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Vendor Sourcing & Engagement Identify and research local vendors and service providers across Colombia and Latin America. Initiate contact with potential suppliers and gather essential business information, including capabilities, compliance documents, and past experience. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key vendors in target sectors. Supplier Qualification & Coordination Support the procurement team by coordinating vendor onboarding and ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Maintain an organized supplier database with up-to-date records and categorization by service type and location. Recommend suitable vendors for specific service or product categories based on their capabilities and availability. Market Monitoring Track developments in local and regional markets that could affect supplier availability, pricing, or capacity. Share findings with internal stakeholders to inform sourcing strategies and planning efforts. Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with internal departments to align sourcing efforts with project timelines and operational needs. Provide regular reports on supplier engagement, new contacts made, and regional sourcing progress. Support field visits or virtual supplier assessments when needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in sourcing, vendor management, or procurement support, ideally within international project environments. Strong knowledge of the business landscape in Colombia and the Latin American region. Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (additional regional languages are a plus). Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with CRM or procurement systems is an advantage. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Experience supporting donor-funded or international development projects. Existing network of local suppliers across sectors such as logistics, construction, equipment rental, and facility services. Understanding of compliance and documentation requirements for international vendor onboarding.
