We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automated testing, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the quality of our SaaS platform. This role will be instrumental in testing new features, with a potential focus on our accounting integrations with platforms like QuickBooks and Intacct. Key Responsibilities · A key focus will be on testing integrations with third-party accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage Intacct. · Responsibilities will include validating the accuracy of financial data, ensuring correct invoice generation, and confirming the integrity of information synchronized between our platform and external accounting systems. · Experience with data mapping validation and understanding the flow of financial data between systems is crucial. Requirements · 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a significant portion in a SaaS environment. · Proven ability to independently design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases. · Extensive experience with various testing methodologies, including black-box, grey-box, and exploratory testing. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. · Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile development environment. · Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and a solid understanding of database schemas to perform data validation. · Deep understanding and hands-on experience with API testing, including the use of tools like Postman, ReadyAPI, or similar. · Solid grasp of test automation concepts and the role of QA in CI/CD pipelines. · Experience collaborating with Product and Development teams to define clear and testable acceptance criteria for both front-end and back-end functionalities. Nice to have: · Experience mentoring or leading junior quality engineers. · Ability to write comprehensive test plans for large-scale epics. · Understanding of data-driven testing frameworks and methodologies. · Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker. · Basic understanding of model evaluation and validation. · Experience contributing to the feature design process with Product and Design teams to ensure all user flows are considered. · Previous experience working in a startup environment. · A deep understanding of the construction industry or related fields. · Experience with performance, load, and security testing concepts and tools. · Knowledge of common accounting workflows, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.
