The Document Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining project documentation in compliance with Hatch's standards. This includes quality checking, registering, classifying, and distributing engineering and vendor documents using ShareCenter. The role ensures accurate metadata and supports documentation handover to clients. Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Document Controller to join our team inMedellín Key Responsibilities: Planning and Setup: Develop and implement the Document Management Plan. Configure ShareCenter for document control and access. Train internal and external stakeholders on document processes. Define reporting requirements and migrate reference documents. Execution and Control: Maintain distribution matrices and manage document workflows. Classify and distribute documents from external parties. Manage access permissions and ensure timely document processing. Closeout: Support archiving and final handover of project documentation. Participate in ShareCenter closeout activities. Technical Tasks: Use ShareCenter tools for document registration and metadata management. Ensure quality control and compliance with standards. Support external portals and client systems as needed. Support: Provide document control support to project teams and external users. Respond to queries and assist in training other document controllers. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Minimum of 8 years of experience in document control within engineering/construction projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and document management tools. Strong metadata management and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment. Advanced written and spoken English proficiency is required Preferred: Ability to customize processes and train others. Advanced SharePoint skills.
