Our client, a leading property management company overseeing multiple parks, is looking for a Utility Billing Specialist to take charge of monthly billing cycles, ensure billing accuracy, and solve complex utility charge discrepancies —all from the comfort of your home. The Role What You’ll Own & Drive Utility Billing & Data Management Download, process, and analyze utility bills from external systems. Input and verify charges in Rent Manager (experience with this software is a plus). Categorize and reconcile sewer, gas, propane, and other utility charges across multiple properties. Ensure accurate monthly billing cycles and totals, preventing revenue loss. Problem-Solving & Process Optimization Detect billing discrepancies and inconsistencies, escalating when needed. Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions for billing and utility-related challenges. Identify patterns in utility bills, becoming the go-to expert in billing accuracy. Clear Communication & Responsiveness Maintain strong, professional communication with internal teams and external vendors. Be highly responsive, jumping on calls when needed to clarify discrepancies and resolve issues quickly. Data & System Proficiency Leverage advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) to analyze large data sets. Work across multiple systems and spreadsheets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Stay organized and detail-focused, managing high-volume, repetitive yet crucial tasks. Ideal Profile What You Bring To The Table Advanced Excel expertise—pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis. Strong analytical mindset—you love problem-solving and identifying discrepancies. Meticulous organization skills—you thrive in structured, detail-heavy tasks. Confident communication—both written and verbal, with a proactive approach. Problem-solving attitude—you don’t just spot issues, you figure out solutions. Experience in accounting, real estate, property management, or utilities (preferred). Familiarity with Rent Manager (a major plus).
