Hiring Department Campus Construction Job Description Summary: Perform skilled work involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of masonry structures and road surfaces. Key Responsibilities: Construct, maintain, and repair structures using masonry materials. Plan layout, mix bonding material, shape, and lay stone, brick, tile, and other masonry materials using appropriate bonding agents. Repair and finish joints between stones or bricks of masonry structures. Plan layout, remove existing bonding material, and apply fresh bonding agent. Set forms, embed necessary reinforcing materials, and pour and finish concrete, asphalt, or other surfaces to specified textures. Break up existing masonry structures using power and hand tools. Install tile on floors and other areas following design specifications. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling holes with appropriate material, and spreading adhesive base. Set up and dismantle scaffolding and staging, install drain tiles, waterproof underground masonry surfaces, apply sealants, and cut openings and utility access holes as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience demonstrating comparable knowledge and abilities. Minimum of four years of actual work in the trade, including apprentice or vocational training. Valid driver's license may be required. Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and set down heavy loads (50-75 lbs.), and work from ladders, scaffolding, and staging daily. Preferred Qualifications Valid Missouri driver's license. Anticipated Hiring Range Salary: $21.50 - $26.50 per hour Grade: GGS-E University Title: BTS Mason Internal applicants can determine their University title via the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
