This requires a broad range of skills including financial modeling, risk management, understanding of US/Canadian GAAP, financing, audit, investor relations, and more. About The Position You're an elite and experienced accountant and bookkeeper passionate about having a real impact on people's lives. The work you do helps people truly unplug on vacation, have more time with their kids, and enjoy running their businesses. You will assist a portfolio of clients worldwide with closing their month-end financials, categorizing expenses, reconciling bank accounts, and understanding their financials. You will close client books within two to ten business days from month-end, accurately and efficiently. You will work across various platforms including Netsuite, Shopify, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Hubdoc, Dext, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Glew.io, Amazon Seller/Vendor, Rippling, Gusto, and more. Responsibilities Time Zone : Work from 10 am-6 pm EST, adjusting for client or team meetings. Month-End Close : Close client books within two to ten business days after month-end, maintain proper working papers, and make assumptions and estimates when necessary. Bookkeeping : Weekly bookkeeping, auto-categorization, receipt attachment, chart of accounts adjustments, payroll processing, and handling all bookkeeping needs. Compliance : Ensure clients stay up-to-date with regulatory filings (sales tax, payroll, corporate, etc.). Reporting : Prepare weekly flash reports for clients. Requirements Experience as an auditor in a public practice role. Solid understanding of US or Canadian GAAP. Self-motivated with good judgment, problem-solving skills, and adaptability. Outstanding communication skills. Ability to handle ambiguity and learn from mistakes. 3+ years in a bookkeeping role. 2+ years in an auditing role. Bachelor's Degree or higher.
