As a Head of Legal , you will oversee the legal aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. This role involves providing strategic legal advice to senior management, managing legal risks, and handling all legal matters related to the company's operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and guidance on all matters affecting the business, ensuring the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Act as Secretary of the Board of Directors and the General Shareholders' Meeting of the company. Lead the claims management area, handling complaints from customers and third parties. Oversee and manage the terminal's insurance policies. Serve as the Local Contact for Unannounced Inspections by authorities (Local Contact for Raids - LDRC). Manage the company's personal data protection system. Coordinate with external legal advisors and regulatory agencies, serving as the company's legal representative in judicial matters. Advise on corporate governance and compliance matters. Train and educate staff on legal and compliance issues. Train and develop members of the local legal team. Requirements: Professional degree in Law with a Master’s degree in commercial, corporate, or business law preferred. At least 7 years of experience as a Lawyer, with knowledge in administrative, commercial, corporate, or business law, and experience leading legal departments in public or private companies. Valid professional license. Knowledge of legislation on port concession contracts, corporate obligations, and personal data protection. Experience in managing relationships with authorities. Must be able to influence other team members in a positive way and lead a department of individuals. Must be customer service oriented, sensitive to the needs of the departments and others. Advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written. Availability to relocate to Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca. Did you read this far?
