The tasks associated with this position include: Working in a team of technicians/engineers to validate and qualify software for highly complex In-vehicle infotainment products. Creating test plans and test cases; executing test cases and checklists. Supporting customer onsite and road testing related to Navigation, Telematics, Traffic, and other SXM services. Detecting software defects and providing pre-analysis on reported issues. Coordinating with the global testing team to resolve issues. Testing customer-reported issues and providing missing data or information. Performing testing and automated testing in vehicles as well as bench testing/troubleshooting. Ensuring test results are documented and communicated appropriately. Entering reported defects into the defect management tool. Having a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and safe driving skills. Taking logs and traces as requested by the team. Unlocking and locking head units. Using CANoe to update PD/CDD/CD configurations and change settings such as speakers, region, antenna type, and model year. Capturing MCAN logs with MCAT and analyzing MCAN messages from TCU to IVI. Preferred qualifications include: Basic computer skills including Office products and instrumentation software. Experience using diagnostic and post-processing software tools. Experience with test automation in the automotive domain. Interfacing with QA leads regarding release schedules, training, testing schedules, and review of test cases. Ownership of software validation and issues at customer sites, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and log/traces capture using Bosch tools. Performing rapid root cause analysis and troubleshooting of issues. Working with global development teams to resolve software bugs and ensure compliance with specifications. Understanding, accepting, and performing the roles of other testers. Experience with defect and test management systems such as HP QC, ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, RTC. Background in software, computer science, or electrical engineering. Aptitude to follow established guidelines to deliver high-quality results. Working knowledge of Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth profiles (HFP, A2DP), WiFi protocols, and CAN tools like CANoe. Good driving record and safe driving skills. Highly motivated, accountable, and capable of following guidelines. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate critically with OEM customers. Problem-solving attitude and team-oriented interpersonal skills for a global organization. Training includes: Access to necessary tools such as JIRA, TTFis, CAN tools, WIBU Stick for head unit access. Installing required applications. Travel to the USA for 2-3 weeks for training. Required qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering. At least 2 years of experience in software system testing.
