Our Health and Benefits business helps clients control soaring health and employee benefits plans, improve health outcomes and promote employee engagement through state-of-the-art interventions. The Role We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our Regional Operations team. You will play a key role in improving global corporate platforms that support operations management of Health and Employee Benefits policies for corporations in various industries across Latin America. About the Role You will work collaboratively with a talented regional team and with country and subject matter experts to adapt software platforms to solve country and client specific scenarios. This involves designing, building, and improving software components to obtain operational efficiencies and provide a better user experience for global operations team users. - This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will work with teams of varying roles. - You should value expertise and have a passion for Software Engineering. - Staying up-to-date on current technologies, practices, and tools is crucial in this position. - You will primarily program software logic using .NET. - Working with country business experts and operations teams to elicit and refine regional and local requirements is also essential. - You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate your ideas clearly. - Creating technical and user documentation on configured and rolled-out applications is a critical part of this role. - Providing training to users as part of roll out activities is also required. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. - At least 2 years' experience working in a developer role. - A strong understanding of testing practices and their integration into developing disciplines. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience with OOP and software design patterns and practices. - Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and deliver high-quality work on time. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - A self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity. - Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues. - Strong analytical and creative skills. - A continuous improvement mind-set to increase task efficiency and effectiveness. - Strong client relationship, interpersonal, and team skills. - Ability to work both independently and on client teams. - Sense of accountability; owning one's work and taking pride in it. Proficiency in English is required.
